Rookie poker player scoops £614,000

Rajesh Modha is a 44 year old father of three who only started playing poker 18 months ago.

He says that he was taught to play by his brother and today he battled to the very to win the Ladbrokes Poker Million tournament in London.

Modha, a nuclear engineer from Northampton, gained entry into the tournament via a qualifying tournament that cost just a couple of pounds to enter.

Ladbrokes, the high street bookmaker even offered in-running betting on the outcome of the Poker Million final.
